Terms of Service
The terms for using the bot and this dashboard. Last updated August 2026.
Using Rogue
Adding the bot to a server, or using it in one, means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, remove the bot or stop using it.
You also have to follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Rogue runs on Discord and cannot be used to do things Discord does not permit.
Who can use it
You must meet Discord's minimum age — 13, or higher where local law requires. Adding the bot to a server means you have permission to manage that server.
Acceptable use
Do not use Rogue to:
- Harass, threaten, or target anyone, or help others do so.
- Distribute malware, scams, or content that breaks the law.
- Evade Discord's rate limits, spam its API, or automate anything Discord prohibits.
- Attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the bot, the dashboard, or the infrastructure behind them.
- Resell access, or present the bot as your own product.
Access can be withdrawn from a user or a whole server for any of the above, without notice where the abuse is ongoing.
Your server, your responsibility
Rogue does what a server's staff configure it to do. Whoever sets up an automod threshold, a welcome message or a ticket panel is responsible for the result. That includes moderation actions the bot takes automatically on rules you set.
Content members submit through the bot — confessions, quotes, ticket conversations — belongs to whoever wrote it and is the server's to moderate.
Aura has no value
Aura is a number in a database. It is not currency, cannot be bought, cannot be exchanged for anything outside the bot, and has no monetary value. Balances may be adjusted or reset — for example to reverse an exploit — and no compensation is owed if they are.
Selling or trading aura for real money or off-platform goods is not permitted and is grounds for having a balance wiped.
Availability
Rogue is offered as-is, with no guarantee of uptime. It depends on Discord and on hosting that can fail, and features may change or be withdrawn. The status page shows what is currently working.
Keeping your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose is sensible — ticket transcripts in particular can be exported from the archive.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Rogue and the people who run it are not liable for losses arising from using it — including data loss, server disruption, or moderation actions taken on rules you configured.
Ending it
Remove the bot from your server at any time; that ends these terms for that server. Access may be withdrawn from a server or user that breaches them. See the privacy policy for what happens to stored data afterwards.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top moves when they do, and continuing to use the bot means accepting the revised version. If a change matters, it will be announced on the support server.
